March 28, 1-3 pm
Wake County Indivisible is co-sponsoring NK3 with our Triangle Resistance United (TRU) partners in downtown Raleigh from 1-3 pm, on the grounds of the NC State Capitol. This will be a community, non-violent family-friendly event, with a distinguished list of speakers, resistance singers and community building with many different local pro-democracy organizations - come out and find your people to take action with after the event!
Here is your one-pager with all info for Saturday in downtown Raleigh!
Resistance Singing starts at 1:00, we have a great list of speakers starting at 1:30, and community building with local organizations that will run all afternoon!
If you can donate, there are two food drives at NK3 - Pack the Bus Snack Drive for WCPSS (providing healthy snack food for kids going without breakfast) and donations for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
WCI encourages attendees to make a donation to our TRU coalition NK3 food drive, supporting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC! There will be donation boxes at the event, and you can also make a monetary donation at the QR code on the flyer.
March 21-28 - ALL donations to Wake County Indivisible will go to our Pack the Bus Snack Drive
Last summer, WCPSS announced some schools would no longer receive funding for the Universal Free Breakfast Program due to federal cuts to SNAP benefits and increased eligibility requirements for students. Bottom line… students are going hungry at school.
WCI people..you have all continued to SHOW UP! and make massive, much-appreciated donations to our Pack the Bus Snack Drive to benefit Wake County Public School students! You helped students who have lost universal free breakfast because the NC GOP can come back in session to further gerrymander voting maps but not to pass a state budget!
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE! Pro-democracy activism is not limited to Raleigh - there are hundreds of events in the Triangle and beyond! Below are lists of these NK3 events - you can find one in almost every corner of NC.
NO KINGS 2.0 -
WE ARE STILL RESISTING!
Our rights as citizens were never given. They were won. From the ballot box to the picket line, generations of Americans have fought to secure freedom and dignity for us all.
Now, those very freedom are being attacked - from silencing free speech to undermining our justice system, from disappearing people off our streets to using our tax dollars to seize cities and terrorize communities. Enough is enough. Together we will show that America's power lives with the people and not on a throne.
On October 18th residents of Wake County and the Triangle flooded the sidewalks of Capital Boulevard and joined millions nationwide to say it loud and clear and AGAIN - No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
