Indivisible: A National Pro Democracy Movement
Indivisible National was formed in the wake of the first election of Donald Trump in 2016. It began as a guide for grassroots organizing written by Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, former democratic congressional staffers. The guide quickly grew into a social movement and Leah and Ezra now run Indivisible, supporting state and local grassroots action and organization.
As Indivisible grew, activists formed a nationwide movement through building teams and groups at the state and local levels, including North Carolina. Several have endured since that time, most notably FlipNC, Triangle Daily Call to Action and Democracy Out Loud.
Wake County Indivisible (WCI) formed in January 2025 and initially consisted of seven founding members, four of whom serve on the leadership team. We have grown to over 400 members in six short months.
