We focus on accountability because North Carolina’s future depends on it.
Alongside our food drives, protests, and direct community support through voter registration repair, our work through the 2026 midterms will center on records—not rhetoric. Fair courts, fair maps, and accountable leadership are on the ballot, from Justice Anita Earls’ reelection to Roy Cooper’s Senate campaign. Voters deserve clear information about who has protected democracy—and who hasn’t.
The stakes are clear. Decisions made by lawmakers, judges, and statewide leaders determine whether voters have fair representation, whether courts remain independent, and whether public institutions serve the people or entrench political power. Votes on redistricting, the courts, budgets, healthcare, the use of government-sponsored police force as well as international military actions have lasting consequences for families and for democracy itself.

Pay attention to Congressional voting this week, and call your representatives with your concerns. While 2 bills did pass, “the vast majority of federal spending has yet to be finalized. Work remains to advance massive bills to fund the Pentagon, the departments of Health and Human Services, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Homeland Security. Those outstanding measures account for nearly 90 percent of the funding Congress provides each year to federal agencies.” (Politico.com)
Accountability matters! When politicians vote to:
Cut food assistance (SNAP)
Increase healthcare premiums or out-of-pocket costs
Reduce taxes for the wealthiest individuals or corporations
Authorize or escalate military conflict
Those votes have lasting consequences for families, communities, and the country.
Pay attention to key election dates!

Want to make a difference right now? Join us for our Registration Repair Letter Writing events! We gather to enjoy a beverage, and take action together by writing letters to voters whose primary ballots may not be counted due to challenges stemming from the Trump lawsuit.
Wake County believes every eligible voter deserves clear information and a vote that counts. That’s why we’re reaching out—across all political affiliations—to let voters know they may need to cast a provisional ballot or risk being removed from the rolls.
Come for the food and fellowship, stay for the impact. Let’s stand up for voters and fight for democracy—together.
FIND VOTING RECORD INFORMATION FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS
In August 2025, Wake County Indivisible introduced a community-centered initiative focused on bringing local elections and candidates into the spotlight.
With major decisions being made close to home, it's more important than ever that voters understand who’s on the ballot, what they stand for, and how their platforms will impact our daily lives.
This project included video profiles of local candidates and a community-led panel event, where residents had the chance to hear directly from candidates and ask their own questions
The goal was simple (and is the same in 2026): more informed voters, stronger communities, and a local democracy that works for everyone.
