WCI continues to support organizations in support of our immigrant neighbors:
Siembra NC, El Pueblo, Carolina Migrants Network, RUMAH (Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub) and others.

While the ICE presence in Minnesota has been drawn down, their communities still live in fear.
Not just Minneapolis, and not just the people protesting. Across Minnesota, ICE continues to stop, harass, and detain people regardless of their citizenship status. Normal life in Minnesota has been interrupted, as schools have been forced to close or go virtual, as people live in fear of leaving their homes or going to work.
As Wake County Indivisible supported our own Triangle Mutual Aid organizations, Minnesotans need that same help from us. See several organizations in our Actions Guide to stay updated, provide support and most importantly - donate to their efforts.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? Siembra NC / Defend and Recruit have put a guide together to hold a postcard writing party - At the link, you will find a Google Document with suggestions and information.
PLEASE NOTE: the document has three tabs - one with a project overview, one with ideas for holding a postcard writing party, and the final tab contains contact info for Destin Hall's contributors.
ICE and CBP have booked arrangements and will be in Wake County and Durham throughout December and everyone in the greater Triangle should be vigilant.
How do we know this? Destin Hall, the Speaker of the NC House of Representatives, told a reporter regarding November arrests by CBP in the Triangle, "It looks like they’re doing a pretty good job at it right now. And so, we don’t have much to ask, other than to come back.”
